"Whereas pleasure is derived from something outside you, joy arises from within."
Hippocrene Spring is founded by Cathryn Clerc. Cathryn holds a Master of Arts degree in Integral Counseling Psychology which draws on mind, body, and spirit disciplines. Her unique approach embraces a holistic view that is rooted in unconditional love, genuineness and authenticity, and empathy and compassion as the foundation for personal growth and development.
Cathryn completed a two year study with Linda Kohanov and is an Epona Approved Instructor. In addition to her professional training in psychology and equine experiential learning (EEL) her resume includes president of an international import and export corporation, human relations director, and studies in dietetics and nutrition, and somatic awareness. She lived abroad for close to half her life and she feels that this experience has expanded her awarness of the similarities and interconnectedness of all beings.
Horses have always been a part of her life and when she was not able to be in their physical presence, they visited her in her dreams and imagination. It is this magical connection that has been the inspiration for the creation of Hippocrene Spring.
The horses have much to teach us, and it seems we are ready to listen.
